Organisation setup

What is an organisation?

Every SlateBeaver account belongs to an organisation. The organisation is the top-level container for all team members, credentials, projects, billing, and audit history. Members cannot see or access data from other organisations.

Creating an organisation

  1. Sign up at app.slatebeaver.com/signup
  2. Name your organisation (this can be changed later)
  3. Confirm a billing plan or start the 14-day free trial
  4. You are automatically assigned the Owner role

Inviting members

  • Invite by email address - roles are assigned at the time of invite
  • Bulk invite via CSV upload (Business and Enterprise plans)
  • SSO invite - members who sign in via your SSO provider are automatically added to your organisation

SSO configuration

Supported identity providers:

  • Google Workspace
  • Microsoft Entra (Azure AD)
  • Okta
  • OneLogin
  • Any SAML 2.0 compatible provider

SCIM provisioning is available on Business and Enterprise plans. SCIM maps directory groups to SlateBeaver roles automatically, so new hires are provisioned and offboarded without manual action.

Organisation settings

The following settings are available to Owners and Admins:

Rename organisation
Configure SSO provider
Set session timeout policy
Enable / disable SCIM
View and export audit log
Manage billing

Next: configure access control

Once your team is invited, set up roles and credential permissions.
