About SlateBeaver

Focused software for engineering and operations teams.

SlateBeaver builds business software focused on three things: keeping credentials secure, making project workflows fast, and giving teams operational clarity without unnecessary complexity.

What we build

Two products. One platform.

AEGIS

Credential & access management

Encrypted credential storage with per-credential RBAC, environment separation, .env file management, drift detection, and an immutable audit log.

AERO

Project & operations management

Kanban boards, sprint planning, timesheets, and burndown reports - keyboard-first, real-time, and connected to Aegis audit trails.

How we think about software

Four principles that shape what we build.

01

Clear permissions over hidden complexity.

Access control should be explicit and auditable. Joining a project should not silently grant access to credentials. Every permission decision should leave a record.

02

Security without operational friction.

Teams bypass tools that slow them down. If the audit trail is hard to maintain, engineers work around it. We build security features that integrate into the actual workflow.

03

Fast products with focused workflows.

Project management tools become obstacles when they have more workflow than the team using them. Aero is fast, keyboard-first, and does exactly what engineering teams need.

04

Practical software for growing teams.

Features ship when they're ready. Complexity is added only when it solves a real problem. We'd rather you use 80% of the product deeply than 100% of it reluctantly.

Infrastructure & security

Built to be auditable from the start.

The security model is not a feature added on top of the product. It is the architecture the product was designed around.

AES-256-GCM encryption

Credentials encrypted at rest. Keys managed with envelope encryption and rotated on a defined policy schedule.

Role-based access control

Nine roles per credential. Access to a project does not imply access to its credentials. Every permission is explicit.

Immutable audit trail

Every reveal, rotation, grant, and revoke is written to a tamper-evident log. Exportable for SIEM integration.

TLS 1.3 in transit

All data in transit is encrypted with TLS 1.3. Older protocol versions are rejected.

Organisation isolation

Each organisation operates in a fully isolated data context. Cross-organisation access is not possible by design.

Session security

Sessions are short-lived with server-side invalidation. Hardware key support via WebAuthn.
